Safeguarding
Bishop Douglass School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all students and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
We are fully committed to ensuring that consistent, effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, students and staff at school. All Barnet schools, including Bishop Douglass School, follow the Barnet Safeguarding Children Partnership procedures. Any concerns are passed through the members of staff who are trained as ‘Designated Child Protection Officers’ in school in compliance with the ‘sharing of information’ guidance.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) is Ms Wilkhu, Assistant Headteacher. She is supported by a deputy, Ms Motisi. Other members of the Safeguarding team are Mrs Henderson Head of School and CP Officer Ms Lowdell CP Officer, Mr Onwumere CP Officer and Ms Price CP Officer.
